Traffic Advisory: More Construction At Research-Telecom Intersection
Durham, NC - Duke community members traveling near Research and Telecom drives should allow for extra travel time beginning Monday, May 14, due to construction.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane along Research Drive near the OIT-Telecommunications Building while Facilities Management installs new, underground chilled water lines. Work will take place all day each work-day through June 1.
During construction, crews will set up temporary, electronic signals at each end of the single lane to control traffic. Duke bus service may also be delayed. Routes that travel through the Research-Telecom intersection include H-1, H-3, H-6, PR-1 and LaSalle Loop. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured on a temporary sidewalk around construction.
