Grow Your Own Food at the Duke Campus Farm

Grow Your Own Food at the Duke Campus Farm

First-time farmers to experienced gardeners needed on Thursdays and Sundays

print |

Durham, NC -

Summer workdays at the Duke Campus Farm are on Thursday and Sunday evenings from 6-8:30 p.m (beginning June 3).  View all farm events here.

Volunteers can plant, harvest, weed, and work on small construction projects. Everyone is welcome - from first-time farmers to experienced gardeners, students, community members, and kids.  Workdays are a fantastic opportunity to get outside, learn about how food is grown, and meet others from the Duke and Durham community who are interested in farming and food.  Produce from the farm is used in the Great Hall and Marketplace, so student volunteers at the farm can have a hand in growing their own food.

The farm is located in the Duke Forest at 4910 Friends School Rd.  Carpools from Duke’s East or West Campus can be arranged by sending a request to dukecampusfarm@gmail.com
