NASA Astronaut Bill McArthur signed autographs and talked science with sisters Fatimah, Ketesia and Lalelei Hall at Love Auditorium Saturday following his presentation to a crowd of local families and Duke students.

McArthur, a native of Robeson County who spent six months aboard the International Space Station in 2005 and 2006, was on campus as part of NASA's week-long series of Destination Station events held throughout the Triangle. He shared stories, photos and video about memorable moments of his life in space, from celebrating Thanksgiving with his Russian colleague to running the Houston half-marathon.

He also talked about the future of private space excursions and the long-term potential for space colonization.
