We can all take small steps to help conserve resources and protect our environment. It can be something as simple as carpooling, recycling or turning down the thermostat.

Make a short video showing someone doing something good for the environment and enter it in the "Gotcha! Living Green Video Contest." The contest is sponsored by Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment.

Five winning videos will each receive $500. Deadline for entries is March 30, 2012, so submit your video soon.

Just use your smartphone or camera to shoot a 30-second video showing your environmental tip. Be sure to include the "Gotcha!" sticker in your video. You'll find complete contest rules on the Nicholas School website.

Make your video fun, make it creative -- and make it green!
