Five Fabulous Free Things To Do At Duke

Durham, NC - This week's picks for free things to do at Duke from the Working@Duke staff include holiday music by candlelight, tips on swimming and wise use of credit and a talk as part of the Documenting Medicine Series.
6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12. The Durham Photography Club at Duke Gardens hosts its monthly meeting at Sarah P. Duke Gardens. Photographers at all levels may join the club, which meets monthly to talk about tips and techniques with guest speakers on special topics. The first meeting is free.
12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13. Attend Duke Chapel by Candlelight, the annual candlelight open house, featuring holiday music on the Chapel organs and carillon.
12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m., Wednesday. Dec. 14. Get pointers on swimming technique, ideas to change up a swimming routine and workouts to train on your own during this Swim Clinic in Brodie Gym.
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14. Holiday spending got you approaching the max on credit cards? Consider attending the Duke Credit Union seminar, Take Charge: Wise Use of Credit in the Searle Center in Conference Room E.
5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14: John Biewen, a radio producer and audio program director at Duke's Center for Documentary Studies, will speak during the Documenting Medicine Series about "The Hospice Experiment." The talk is in Duke South, Room 0112.
