President Li Xiaohong and other senior leaders of Wuhan
University spent Thursday on campus for meetings with Duke faculty and
administrators.

Li and Duke President Richard H. Brodhead signed a
memorandum of understanding extending the schools' collaboration to areas
including faculty, staff and student exchanges and training opportunities.

Wuhan, the oldest comprehensive university in China, is a
partner with Duke and the city of Kunshan in the development of Duke Kunshan
University.  In June 2011 the two
universities entered into an agreement formalizing their cooperation in the
fields of global health and nursing.

The group's itinerary included meetings with Duke faculty
members and administrators and a dinner hosted by Brodhead.
