Duke Recreation and Physical Education's swim clinic. Participants receive pointers on swimming technique, ideas to change up a swimming routine and suggestions for workouts. Brodie Recreation Center pool, 20 Brodie Gym Drive.

International Conversation Cafe. The Thompson Writing Program hosts a conversation about current events, culture and more. Non-native and native English speakers are welcome. Bryan Center Meeting Room B.

Nasher Museum of Art's First Thursday. On the first Thursday evening of every month, admission is free for visitors. Hear a talk from Richard J. Powell, Duke's John Spencer Bassett Professor of Art and Art History, on "Becoming: Photographs from the Wedge Collection," a series of portraits taken over the past 100 years by more than 60 global artists. Center for LGBT Life's Fab Friday. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to join an informal hangout to relax, listen to music and talk. All LGBT, allies, questioning, students, staff and faculty are welcome. Light snacks are provided. Center for LGBT Life, West Campus Union.

Haiti After the Earthquake - A conversation and book signing with Paul Farmer. Duke graduate and Board of Trustees member Paul Farmer will give a presentation on his book, Haiti After the Earthquake, which describes his work in the country following the 2010 earthquake.
