Duke Children's Holiday Cards Send Message of Caring

Durham, NC - Men's Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski will kick off the 2011 Duke Children's Card Program Nov. 3 and unveil the new Holiday Cards and All-Occasion Cards.

The Duke Children's holiday cards, which went on sale Nov. 1, are designed to change the life of a sick child and send a message of hope and compassion. Proceeds from the 31st annual Duke Children's Card Program Collection, featuring designs by young artists from the surrounding community benefit pediatric programs at Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center.

Each year local students and Duke Children's patients are challenged to design the perfect card. From the hundreds of designs submitted, six were chosen by our sponsors to become this year's edition of Duke Children's Cards. The cards are sold in variety packs of 20 cards for $15. This year's edition offers a Holiday Variety Pack and an All-Occasion Variety Pack.

The cards will be unveiled at a card unveiling followed by a card program ceremony, hosted by Krzyzewski. For more information about purchasing the cards and for retail locations, visit www.dukechildrens.org.
