Guerrillas at the Nasher

guerrillatop.jpg

One way to shake up the art world is to wear guerrilla masks to a lecture.  But the Guerrilla Girls are more than artists looking for shock value.  They brought their efforts to fight sexism, racism and corruption in art, politics and culture to the Nasher Museum of Art Thursday night.

Speaking to a rapt audience that filled the auditorium, the artists stayed masked during the entire lecture and performance as they discussed the challenges in opening museums and galleries to women artists and images of women in art.
