Australian dance company Chunky Move will
present Connected on Friday, Oct.
28, at 8 p.m. in Reynolds Theater in the Bryan Center on Duke’s West Campus.

Connected is a collaboration between the company
and California-based artist Reuben Margolin.  The final work composed for the company by Chunky Move’s
founder Gideon Obarzanek, Connected combines
Margolin’s kinetic sculpture with Chunky Move’s innovative approach to modern
dance.

Margolin and Chunky Move will be in residence
at Duke during the week of October 23 in advance of their performance.  Many free and open to the public events
will be offered during their residency.
One highlight of their residency is a free and public conversation
between Chunky Move artistic director Gideon Obarzanek and sculptor Reuben
Margolin on Wednesday, October 26, at 1 pm in the Franklin Humanities Institute
Garage in the Smith Warehouse.

The concert is sponsored by Duke Performances.
