Specimens From The Duke Herbarium
Duke is home to more than 800,000 dried, pressed plant specimens, a working study collection known to botanists as an herbarium. The herbarium includes specimens from around the world and was established at Duke in the 1920s. It is now the second largest private university collection of its kind.
