A dual-screen video installation at the Franklin Humanities Institute in
Smith Warehouse depicts the annual Crop Over festival in Barbados. The
videos, created by artist Sonia Boyce, follow the colorful customs and
heritage of the Barbadian celebration.
Richard Powell, professor of art
and art history, curated the exhibit with the help of students from his
course "The Black Atlantic," who created accompanying wall labels for it.
