After a full month of events in April, Sustainable Duke outreach coordinator Casey Roe recaps highlights from the environmentally-themed events of April. Students, faculty and staff groups from across campus planned 40 events
between April 1 and 29 to celebrate Duke's commitment to
sustainability. After kicking-off the month with a special screening of
the documentary "Carbon Nation" and the start of the annual SmartCommute
Challenge, other events included tours of the Sarah P. Duke Gardens and
a discussion about the benefits of sustainable eating.
