Follow '10 Days of Duke Today' to Win iPad2

Complete the tasks for 10 Days of Duke Today and be entered into a drawing to win an iPad2.

Come along with us for 10 business days and experience some
of the cool features of the newly redesigned Duke Today - and you could win an
iPad2.

Each business day from April 25 to May 6, we will ask Duke faculty and staff to
complete a specific task (see below) to get familiar with the new Duke Today. Once you complete a task, use your Duke NetID and password to log your entry on the registration page. Every faculty and staff member who completes at least seven of the 10
tasks will be entered into a drawing to win an iPad2.

Miss a day? Just go back and perform the missed task and log your entry on the registration page.

As long as you complete seven of 10 tasks by May 6, you will be entered into the drawing for an iPad2. The winner will be announced on Duke Today the week of May 9.

Your Duke Today Assignment
(Should you choose to accept it)

  1. April 25:  Post feedback on the site using the green "feedback" button on the right side of the Duke Today homepage. Don't forget to log your entry afterward. 

  2. April 26:  Use this form to email a friend about the newly redesigned Duke Today and the many ways you can interact with the site and the Duke community. Don't forget to log your entry afterward.

  3. April 27: Log in to Duke Today and customize the topics you want to follow. Don't forget to log your entry afterward.

  4. April 28:  Post a comment on the "10 Days of Duke Today" story (click on the Comments tab at the top of that story page).  Let us know what you think about the story or just let us know you were there.  Don't forget to log your entry afterward.

  5. April 29: Submit a story idea. Don't forget to log your entry afterward. (If you had problems posting a comment for yesterday's assignment, try again. We experienced some technical difficulties early yesterday).

  6. May 2:     Use a camera or phone to send us a photo of your Duke department at work. Please include a brief description of the image and name of the department in the email message. Don't forget to log your entry afterward. Please send your photo by email to: ball33dole@photos.flickr.com

  7. May 3:     Tell us who is doing an awesome job at work - and why. Nominate a Duke colleague for the "Blue Devil of the Week" faculty and staff profile. (Check out the Working@Duke section of Duke Today for this week's Blue Devil of the Week.) Don't forget to log your entry after your nomination.

  8. May 4:     Connect with Working@Duke on Facebook and "Like" the page, and then "Like" the latest '10 Days of Duke Today' status update posting on the Facebook page. Don't forget to log your entry afterward.

  9. May 5:     Go to the "News" section of Duke Today and find the headline for "Talk of the Campus." After you find the headline, just log your entry. 

  10. May 6:     Take the poll featured on the Working@Duke section of Duke Today. Don't forget to log your entry afterward.

The contest ended Friday, May 6, but we've added one more task for extra credit:  Make Duke Today your homepage. 

The winner of the iPad2 will be announced on Duke Today-Working@Duke during the week of May 9.
