Two Duke students met former PM at Florence conference

Durham, NC - Duke students Rebecca Stone and Laura Howell sit to the left of former Great Britain Prime Minister Gordon Brown during a Nov. 16 breakfast meeting in Florence, Italy.

The two students are part of a New York University program in Florence this semester. Brown spoke to the students during a conference on "America and the World." He was one of a number of American and European political analysts, media experts and scholars who talked about the U.S. mid-term elections and their impact on America's role in the world.
