Duke to Hold India Business Forum Sunday, March 28

Diverse group to share perspectives on critical Indian business issues

Duke's Fuqua School of Business will host the school's second annual Duke India Business Forum on Sunday, March 28, providing a platform for global business leaders, professionals, alumni, faculty and students to share their perspectives on critical Indian business issues.

"India: Turning the Lens on Tomorrow" features a full day of sessions beginning at 9 a.m. The event, which is open to the public, will bring together a number of Indian business leaders for discussions about India's evolving health care system, technology, marketing, finance, venture capital and other pressing issues.

Sessions will be held in Fuqua's Geneen Auditorium on Duke's West Campus. The event is free for all students (Duke and otherwise) and $20 for non-student attendees. Information on registration, agenda and speakers is available at http://dukeIBF.com.

Speakers at the conference include prominent leaders from a number of businesses in the Triangle area and India, including: David P. Good, chief representative for North America Tata Sons, Ltd.; Dr. Nandakumar Jairam, chairman and group medical director at Columbia Asia Hospitals, India; Ravilochan Pola, president and CEO of Kotak Mahindra, Inc.; Renuka Ramnath, founder and managing director of Multiples Alternate Asset Management; and Dr. Praveen Tyle, senior vice president and global head of R&D (OTC) at Novartis Consumer Health.

The Duke India Business Forum is part of Fuqua's increasingly global focus. The school offers MBA programs cycling through study locations in India, Russia, Europe, China, and the Middle East. Last year's inaugural Duke India Business Forum attracted more than 400 attendees from the United States and India.
