As the health care reform debate comes to a head in Congress, Duke professor Donald H. Taylor will give his health policy recommendations and answer questions from the public in a live, interactive "Office Hours" webcast noon EST Friday, Nov. 13, on the Duke University Ustream channel.

Taylor has been an active voice in the public discourse on health care reform. He has written a series of op-ed articles for the (Raleigh) News & Observer, posts regularly on his blog "freeforall--a health policy discussion," and wrote the essay "What Medicare Could Do" for The New York Times "Room for Debate," an online opinion section. In collaboration with Frank Hill, former chief of staff to U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Dole, he outlined three ways to improve the Senate Finance Committee "Baucus bill".

Taylor will answer questions from viewers of the webcast. To submit a question in advance or during the session, send an email to live@duke.edu, post a comment on the Duke University Live Ustream page on Facebook or tweet with the tag #dukelive.

This Thursday, Nov. 12, at 12:15 p.m., Taylor will speak at the Duke Law discussion "Fixing the Health Care System: Duke University's Leading Health Care Scholars Discuss Reform Proposals." The event, free and open to the public, will take place in Law School Room 3041; it will also be webcast on the Duke University Ustream channel.
