Kimerly Rorschach

Durham, NC - As major art auctions begin in New York and London, Kimerly Rorschach, director of Duke's Nasher Museum of Art, will hold a live, online "Office Hours" conversation on modern art Friday, Nov. 6, at noon on the Duke University Ustream channel.

Now at the Nasher Museum, an exhibition of works by Pablo Picasso in various media explores the artist's relationship with poets and language. And opening Nov. 12 at the museum, "Big Shots: Andy Warhol Polaroids" will feature 250 Polaroid photographs taken by Warhol as studies for his famous large-scale portraits, as well as 70 black-and-white prints.

As the Mary D.B.T. and James H. Semans Director of the Nasher Museum, Rorschach navigates the world of contemporary art to bring innovative combinations of art and artists to the museum. Before coming to Duke, she was the Dana Feitler Director of the University of Chicago's David and Alfred Smart Museum of Art. She has held curatorial positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Rosenbach Museum & Library in Philadelphia.
