Durham, NC - Students gathered at the entrance to Perkins Library Wednesday to paint for community relations. Purple, a student organization that aims to create meaningful ways for students to partner with the Durham community, invited students to take a study break to paint a Duke-Durham Mural.

Painting on the mural continued on Thursday. The mural, which shows an outline of the city of Durham, is broken down into 4 inch by 4-inch blocks. Members of the Duke community were invited to express themselves in anyway within their individual blocks.
