DURHAM, N.C. - Duke Chapel Dean Sam Wells will discuss "Leadership in Difficult Times" with Sanford School of Public Policy Dean Bruce Kuniholm on Thursday, Dec. 3, at Duke.

The noon program, to be held in Room 04 of the Sanford Building, is the latest installment of the 2009-2010 Deans' Dialogue series. The event is free and open to the public. Lunch refreshments will be served.

"We all face difficult times personally, but a discussion with the dean of the public policy school offers a chance to think about what it means not just to address a crisis, but to do so with public eyes watching -- eager for quick results, rapid change, and minimal expenditure," Wells said.

In these dialogues, Wells discusses with various deans at Duke topics surrounding the common good. A question-and-answer period is also included.

Previously, the series has included discussions with Divinity School Dean Greg Jones, Fuqua School of Business Dean Blair Sheppard, and Nicholas School of the Environment Dean Bill Chameides. Podcasts of these discussions are available at Duke's iTunesU page, http://itunes.duke.edu/, and browse to religion and then Duke Chapel.
