Typically, admissions representatives interview prospective undergraduates. On Tuesday, Nov. 17, students, parents and others can ask questions of Duke's top admission officer. Dean of Undergraduate Admissions Christoph Guttentag will demystify the admissions process and chat with online viewers in a live webcast on Duke's Ustream channel starting at 5 p.m.

Guttentag has led the office since 1992, during which time the quality, diversity and number of applicants has steadily increased. Last winter, Duke received a record number of applications for regular decision. This fall, a record number of early decision applicants said Duke was their first choice.

Anyone interested can submit a relevant question in advance or during the webcast. Send an email to live@duke.edu, post a comment on the Duke University Live Ustream page on Facebook or tweet with the tag #dukelive.

Duke sophomore Taylor Clarke will moderate the webcast. Clarke, a native of New Canaan, Conn., is a history major and Robertson Scholar.
