Rowing team works out for breast cancer research

Durham, NC - Members of the Duke Rowing team took part in the "Row for the Cure" event to raise money for breast cancer on the West Campus main quad Thursday afternoon. From right, are Caroline Fox, sophomore; Katie Burke, freshman; Emily Theys, freshman; Sydney Johnson, freshman; and Helen Gilles, freshman.

The students rowed in one-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The team raised $6,900 last year.
