Durham, NC - Durham firefighters inspect a Duke bus that caught on fire Wednesday afternoon. According to Duke officials, the fire started around 5:27 p.m. as the bus was on East Campus, near the Graffiti Bridge.

Several students were on the bus at the time, and one of them alerted the driver to the fire. He immediately pulled over and the bus was evacuated. No one was injured.

The Durham Fire Department arrived a short time later and extinguished the fire, which broke out in the engine compartment.
