Duke in Pictures: Nursing Dedication

New building expands school's teaching and support space

Nursing Dean Catherine Lynch Gilliss and Duke Trustee Chair Bob Steel celebrate the dedication of the new School of Nursing building this past weekend. The new three-story, nearly 60,000-square-foot laboratory and classroom facility greatly enhances the school's space for teaching and student support. It includes a 150-seat auditorium for large lectures. In keeping with Duke's commitment to sustainability, the building was Duke's second to be certified for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), a national program that promotes energy efficient, "green" living space.
