Duke in Pictures: Move-in Day
The vehicles started lining up around 8 a.m. Students and parents were met by President Richard H. Brodhead and a swarm of upper-class students ready to help the rookies move in. Things moved swiftly. Despite the threat of rain (only a little fell), the day went well, with some 1,600 students getting into residence halls, having photos for Duke Cards made, meeting Duke faculty and staff and getting acquainted with each other.
