Students lay down mulch around a sculpture in Durham's Central Park as part of an "Into the City" service project.

More than 200 freshmen spread out into Durham to work on service projects and to learn about the city's history and culture. The Into the City event has been running for ten years and is designed to introduce students to their new hometown.
