Support the Blue Devils with the Employee Athletic Pass

For $70, employees get season tickets for football, women's basketball

The Duke football season begins Saturday against Richmond, and employees are invited to see the game for free, then watch the rest of the home season – and the women's basketball season as well – by purchasing the Employee Athletic Pass.

For $70, the pass provides admission to all seven home football games, including contests against Florida State, Miami and traditional rival North Carolina. The pass also includes a season ticket to Duke's women's basketball team, which is coming off a season as NCAA runner-up.

That's not all. Also included in the pass is:

  • Ticket to one men's and women's basketball practice
  • A Duke T-shirt
  • Entry into a drawing for regular season Duke men's ACC basketball tickets.

In addition, the pass provides access to the Blue Devil checking account from Duke Credit Union and a special edition Blue Devil debit card.

This month, employees were mailed information about the pass and two vouchers for free admission to the Richmond game, which will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday in Wallace Wade Stadium. The voucher also provides admission to pre-game activities, which includes a kids zone and Dale Jarrett NASCAR's Ford.

The coaches of the football and women's basketball team said they hoped for strong support from employees and the larger Duke community.

"We need your support in Wallace Wade Stadium this season," said football coach Ted Roof.

Women's basketball coach Gail Goestenkors said the team's schedule was one of the toughest in the program's history, including games with national champ Maryland, rival UNC and traditional powers Texas and Vanderbilt as well as other ranked teams. The team returns several starters from last year's national runner-up.

"I hope you will come out and support us in our efforts to bring home that national championship we've all been waiting for," Goestenkors said.
