GlaxoSmithKline Director to Speak at Duke Feb. 22

Dr. Tachi Yamada, chairman of research & development and executive director of GSK, will speak on "organizing R&D in the modern, multi-national pharmaceutical industry"

 

Dr. Tachi Yamada, chairman of research & development and executive director of GlaxoSmithKline, will speak at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

Yamada's lecture, titled "Organizing R&D in the modern, multi-national pharmaceutical industry," runs from 10:45 a.m. to noon in Fuqua's Geneen Auditorium. The public is invited to attend. 

Recently, it was announced that Yamada would be retiring from GSK on June 1 to become executive director of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's global health program.

Public parking is available on Science Drive, across from Fuqua, or in the parking garage next to the Bryan Center.
