Duke officials celebrate ground-breaking for new student center plaza

Durham, N.C. - Students, faculty and administrators celebrated Wednesday at the ground-breaking ceremony for the new West Campus Plaza.  Envisioned as the "living room" for students on West Campus, the new plaza will connect four building central to student life: West Union, Flowers, the Bryan Center and Page.  Cutting cake at the ceremony are Larry Moneta, vice president for student affairs; Jesse Longoria, Duke Student Government president; Peter Lange, provost; Zoila Airall, assistant vice president for student affairs; Richard H. Brodhead, president; and Tallman Trask III, executive vice president.
