Congressman Barney Frank to Speak at Duke Oct. 21

Event will help Duke celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender LifeThursday, October 7, 2004

10/To help Duke University celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Life, U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., will give a public lecture on politics and the gay agenda.

The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, in Page Auditorium on Duke's West Campus. Parking is available in the Bryan Center Parking Garage off Science Drive.

Frank, who has been in Congress since 1981, is the senior Democrat on the Financial Services Committee and a member of the Select Committee on Homeland Security. He is gay.

Following the speech, a grand opening reception will be held in the LGBT Center's new "garden location" at 02 West Union Building. During the reception, a gallery by Loren Cameron, who photographs transgender people, will be displayed.
