The delivery person had just delivered a pizza to that address and was on his way back to his vehicle when he was approached by a man who showed the victim a handgun and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect about $130 in cash and the suspect fled on foot toward the intersection of Anderson and Yearby streets. The victim was not physically harmed.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 25-30 years old, 5-feet 9-inches tall and weighing around 175 pounds, with a medium build and short black hair. He reportedly was wearing a blue shirt with red trim and dark shorts.

Duke Police ask anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to call 911 on campus or 684-2444. They also remind students and others to follow safety precautions, such as keeping doors and windows locked, turning on lights, walking together and being alert to their surroundings.
